Direct Food Ingredients Expands With Appointment Trio
Leading ingredients distributor Direct Food Ingredients, based in Macclesfield, is continuing to build on a year of outstanding successes as it welcomes the addition of three appointments to its ever growing and highly effective team.
Joining the Direct Food Ingredients office to fulfil the freshly implemented role of Software Developer is Andy Watt (48). Andy joins the team after 15 years with a major grocery retailer and brings with him a wealth of seasoned experience in building bespoke computer systems to maximise the IT capabilities within businesses.
The new developer role will look to further enhance Direct Food Ingredient’s significant capital investment in the company’s IT structures to continue improving the business’ online output and the quality and efficiency of order processing.
Following hot on the heels of the opening of Direct Food Ingredients first overseas office in Los Angeles, USA, Jane Gilman (47) also joins the company’s team after a three-year role at Reaseheath College working in the Food Technology department.
Armed with considerable experience in food production and retail, as well as the successful management of her own dairy business, Jane joins Direct Food Ingredients as a knowledgeable and competent Quality Administrator.
Finally, Sophie Tristram (25) joins the team as a Customer Service Administrator. After working in the health and beauty industry for 5 years, Sophie has forged a strong career in customer service and brings her experience, enthusiasm and creative eye to this new industry.
Direct Food Ingredients has had a record-breaking year of trading so far having seen a 55% like for like sales uplift in just the first six months of trading this year. This recent expansion in team members will facilitate the business in continuing to achieve its outstanding and ambitious turnovers.
Direct Food Ingredients employs 16 staff and is located on Waters Green in the centre of Macclesfield.
The business is an established leader in the importation, storage and distribution of functional foods, nutritional & sports ingredients and vitamin and mineral premixes.
