Palladium Group reveals plans for Old Hall Street transformation

After acquiring two office buildings in Liverpool’s business district for £2.7m in August, developer Palladium Group has revealed its plans to transform the sites.

The firm has appointed the Liverpool office of real estate company CBRE as a joint agent with Hitchcock Wright & Partners for the Old Hall Street buildings Nations House and Stanley Hall, which have been renamed Helix and Honeycomb respectively.

The properties are undergoing a refurbishment project to offer showers, bike storage facilities, break areas, meeting rooms and a rooftop garden.

Palladium Group chairman Spencer Bourne said: “We are delighted with how well our first venture in Liverpool is progressing and are building on the successful model of Honeycomb Chester, which is already two thirds let.

“The programme of works at Honeycomb and Helix will transform the buildings into contemporary offices with a broad range of occupier facilities and we are confident that this will be a welcome addition to the Liverpool office scene.”

Existing tenants of the sites include supermarket chain Sainsbury’s and property advisory firm Matthews & Goodman.

Andrew Byrne, a Liverpool-based senior surveyor for CBRE, commented: “We are delighted to have been appointed as joint agents to market two prominent office buildings on the backbone of Liverpool’s Central Business District.

“The investment into upgrading and rebranding the offices will result in the delivery of some much-needed, high quality office accommodation at a time when supply within the city is diminishing.”
