Manufacturer opens Barnsley plant with NatWest backing

Sussex-based Capital Compactors Ltd has opened a new manufacturing plant in Barnsley after securing a £1.6m funding package from NatWest.

Based in Bognor Regis, Capital Compactors Ltd manufactures waste compactors and waste balers for businesses across the UK.

NatWest has assisted Capital Compactors Ltd with a £1.3m commercial mortgage which facilitated the acquisition of a new commercial unit in Barnsley, enabling the rapidly growing business to expand its manufacturing capacity.

An additional £375,000 of funding was provided through Lombard, NatWest’s Asset Finance arm, which has been used to fund new plant and equipment to cater for the increased capacity. This included a metal press and guillotine plus shot-blasting and extraction equipment that will support the manufacturing and on-site finishing at the new plant in Barnsley.

Director, Alistair Lindsay said, “Through our dedicated Relationship Manager David Greenough, NatWest has worked with us to understand the business dynamics, challenges of the sector and our drive to grow the business. By developing an in-depth knowledge of Capital Compactors and by listening to our plans NatWest were able to tailor funding options to suit our specific business needs.”
