Sheffield technology firm Servelec wins new contract with Welsh water company
Sheffield-based technology firm Servelec has secured a new contract with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW) for a significant number of Seprol S2000micro remote telemetry units (RTUs).
As part of the first stage of the DCWW’s Outstation Replacement Programme, this contract will see the first 250 RTUs delivered before the end of March 2016 with the remaining units shipped from Servelec Technologies’ Sheffield Works over the remainder of 2016.
These RTUs will be used to monitor DCWW’s existing pump stations and update its current infrastructure. DCWW is one of the first UK water companies to commence replacement programmes, envisaged as part of the five year regulated investment period which commenced in April 2015.
Servelec has been a partner to DCWW for over 25 years, providing high quality Telemetry/SCADA and remote telemetry solutions that deliver tangible benefits, streamline processes and reduce the overall cost of operations.
Andy Sullivan, managing director of Servelec Technologies said that this latest contract “will see Dwr Cymru Welsh Water using our very latest and most up-to-date telemetry solution for their outstations for many years to come”.
