Nespresso serves up Bluewater offering

Kent retail and leisure destination, Bluewater has welcomed Nespresso’s first permanent boutique this month.

The new 2,700 sq ft boutique is the first of its kind in the South East for Nespresso Club Members and coffee connoisseurs and replaces the pop-up store, which opened this summer.

Located on Bluewater’s Upper Guildhall, adjacent to Apple, White Stuff and The White Company, it is the seventh Nespresso boutique to be opened in the UK and the first globally to trial a newly designed customer shopping experience.

Created by an in-house team, the experience eliminates the barriers between the customer and the Nespresso Coffee Specialists, using mobile technology and increased open spaces to encourage greater interaction.

Francisco Nogueira, Nespresso UK Managing Director, explains: “We’re excited to introduce our innovative boutique concept in a new and popular location.

“Our boutiques are a fantastic way for our Club Members to experience the full Nespresso brand, tasting new flavours and learning from our Coffee Specialists about our 23 Grands Crus and their origins.

“The introduction of this new customer concept will ensure our customers have even more time to interact with our experts and enjoy a seamless experience.”

Robert Goodman, Bluewater’s General Manager, added: “Nespresso’s choice of Bluewater to introduce a new store concept that will be rolled out globally is another very strong endorsement of our industry leading position.

“They add to our line-up of the very best mix of leading international brands and statement stores anywhere in the UK outside London, joining the likes of Breitling, Jo Malone, Aveda and Montblanc in creating something very special at Bluewater.”

Nespresso follows the opening of Breitling and Aveda, with Anthropologie following shortly.

CBRE and Time Partners acted on behalf of Bluewater. Nespresso dealt direct.
