Spirit of Harrogate becomes home of Slingsby following £500k investment
Harrogate-based artisan gin, Slingsby, has launched its exclusive retail experience located on Montpellier Parade in Harrogate earlier this month.
Following an investment of around £500k, Spirit of Harrogate officially opened its doors on November 3rd, and is now the home of Slingsby, a brand new gin to the market.
The shop’s opening coincides with Slingsby celebrating the sale of 2,000 bottles in its first eight weeks of launch.
17 of Slingsby’s 24 botanicals have been grown in Harrogate’s Rudding Park Hotel Kitchen garden. Key ingredients include Yorkshire rhubarb, Green and Jasmine Tea from Taylors of Harrogate and medicinal plants from Rudding Park such as Sweet Cicely, Primrose and Thyme; all combined with spring water from Harrogate’s aquifer and pure single grain spirit.
Spirit of Harrogate will now offer the ‘Slingsby Experience’, where customers can sample the shop’s range of flavoured gins and over 30 tonics and buy the Slingsby Gin.
Spirit of Harrogate will also offer corporate Slingsby Gin Experiences for up to 20 private, pre-booked guests, to include canapes and Slingsby Signature cocktails, created by Spirit of Harrogate’s hand-picked team.
Marcus Black, co-founder & managing director, said: “We’re delighted to be opening the doors to Spirit of Harrogate’s very own retail experience whilst marking such a celebratory milestone for Slingsby.
“Slingsby Gin was developed by looking at things differently and its home, Spirit of Harrogate, certainly reflects this. With ambitious growth plans, the next stage is to feed out Slingsby nationally and we look forward to welcoming gin lovers to our unique offering, sharing with them a truly wonderful Slingsby Experience.”
Spirit of Harrogate, which created five new jobs, is located on 5-7 Montpellier Parade, Harrogate.
