Following a technical examination, which was completed during the planning process, the site has been confirmed for its suitability for a quality residential development, which will comprise of approximately 150 houses.
Adair Paxton recently offered an 11-acre site at Alverthorpe, near Wakefield, which is now under offer to a major house builder pending a Reserved Matters planning permission.
Bruce Collinson, Adair Paxton Ltd., said: “Our clients invite offers in excess of £4,250,000 for this very attractive site. It is situated in a most desirable area, which, with the correct pricing for 3 and 4 bedroom houses, house builders are keen to seek out and invest in. Underlying demand for readily-developable sites remains very healthy”.
In addition, Barnsley Metropolitan District Council is considered an ideal area for development as it declares the need for more and better housing in its current plans.
Bruce added: “It is the understanding that new education facilities and retail outlets are planned in the area. This is a confirmation that the underlying socio-demographics of this vibrant and accessible community continue to form a strong underpinning to sustainable development, and the pent up need for more houses in the wider district.”
