Boost for IT company ahead of 10th anniversary

A North East IT company has created a number of new jobs and established a new office as it approaches its 10th year in business.

Razorblue, headquartered in Catterick, has undergone a management restructure, appointing new directors and recruiting a number of new staff thanks to winning a range of large scale contracts throughout 2015.

In the last 18 months Razorblue has increased its staff numbers from 25 to 37 to assist with its growth plans and its new office base in London. New recruits include a financial controller, several technical consultants, technical support specialists and a number of apprentices.

2016 sees Razorblue celebrate its tenth anniversary and the firm is already recruiting for a further five roles at its Leeds and Catterick locations.

In addition to the London base, in the City, Razorblue also has an office in Leeds at Airport West Business Park in Yeadon, close to Leeds Bradford Airport

The company, whose HQ is at Colburn Business Park, specialises in managed IT services, cloud, connectivity and business systems for a wide range of SMEs, business parks and public sector organisations across the UK.

In the last six months, Razorblue has seen contract revenue grow by around 40% and expects to sustain similar levels of growth in the coming year.

Managing director of Razorblue, Dan Kitchen, said: “2015 has seen us put all of the right structures in place to aid our growth allowing us to continue to meet demand and enter new markets, such as around London and the south east.

“We’ve seen a huge increase in clients looking for a single service provider to manage all of their IT, cloud, connectivity and business system requirements and our forward thinking a number of years ago has meant we’ve been able to meet these requirements.

“We have a great team, many of whom have been with us since our inception. We offer a real commitment to an individual’s career through industry training and in-house promotions, as a result our staff retention rates are very high. This is quite rare in our sector and this is not only good for us as a business as it offers clients real consistency, but also great for staff as it means that there’s a real team atmosphere.”
