Coda Bespoke guests enjoy British Pop Art preview
ONE of the leading figures of the British Pop Art Movement has a major new exhibition in Sheffield…and guests of city company Coda Bespoke had the opportunity for a private view of his work.
New and rare iconic print works by legendary and highly influential British pop artist Peter Phillips are currently on display at the Mary Street Gallery in Sheffield. Phillips is a pop art player of the highest calibre and is rated alongside his American counterparts Warhol and Lichtenstein as being a cornerstone of the genre.
The private viewing hosted by Coda Bespoke, the small projects division of award winning Sheffield architectural design practice Coda Studios, gave guests the chance to see the work in detail as well as enjoying canapés by Justin of Silversmith’s Restaurant and a pop up bar.
Contemporary furniture design also on display at the gallery was provided by innovative Sheffield company nest.co.uk
“Our guests thoroughly enjoyed being able to get an exclusive look at this outstanding display of works by Peter Phillips,” said Abel Hinchliffe of Coda Bespoke.
“It was all about the collaboration of art and architecture but also provided a great client networking event.
“The Mary Street Gallery is one of Sheffield’s real treasures and Coda Bespoke was delighted to be able to work with them on this exciting exhibition.”
The Peter Phillips Solo Exhibition runs at the gallery at 99 Mary Street until December 10.
