Taylor&Emmet recruits litigation duo
Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is strengthening the services it offers to local businesses with the appointment of two experienced litigators.
The firm is welcoming associate, James Parden and solicitor, Richard Dale, to the team to enhance its expertise in property and commercial disputes.
James is a property litigator who specialises in all commercial and residential matters, with particular expertise in residential landlord and tenant disputes. Having worked briefly in London, he has spent the last 11 years at the Sheffield office of a large national law firm and has excellent links with estate agencies, banks, retailers, universities, management and investment companies and independent landlords.
Richard has expertise in commercial litigation and insolvency, dealing with all types of disputes and contentious insolvency matters. He joins Taylor&Emmet following four years heading up a dispute resolution team in Sheffield and has worked previously for regional and national law firms in Nottinghamshire, Leeds and Manchester.
Rob Moore, Taylor&Emmet’s head of business legal services, said: “James and Richard are talented litigators with an innovative approach to resolving issues for clients. We have encountered both in opposition and were impressed by the tenacity and strength of character they demonstrated. It is a pleasure to welcome them to our team and I have no doubt their abilities, reputation and contacts will enable us to expand our work in these areas.”
