LazyDogz takes the lead with festive charity campaign
Bolton-basedLazyDogz has launched its first festive campaign LazyDogz Loves Manchester Dogs’ Home. Right up until Christmas Eve, the purveyor of luxury handcrafted slippers will donate £1 from the sale of every pair of slippers to the canine charity.
Supporters of the Christmas campaign will also be encouraged to tweet pictures of their much-loved dogs to @LazyDogzUK and @Manchdogs using the #LazyDogzlovesMDH.Paul Jackson, LazyDogz’s managing director, said: “Here at LazyDogz we love to celebrate that special relationship between humans and their dogs - what could be better than kicking back and relaxing with your canine for company this winter? The work carried out by Manchester Dogs’ Home is truly heart-warming and we want to help ensure that abandoned or homeless hounds get another chance at being part of a loving family. We hope animal lovers all over the country will take this opportunity to help such a worthwhile cause.”
The inner-city rescue centre suffered devastating losses in 2014 when arsonists set fire to its kennel block, resulting in the death of more than sixty animals. Over the past year, the charity has used some of the donations from the general public to erect a new temporary re-homing block until the brand new block is built in 2016.
Steve Mapley, Manager at Manchester Dogs’ Home, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by public support over the past eighteen months and are delighted that LazyDogz has decided to support us this Christmas.”
LazyDogz’s first ever line of stylish handcrafted slippers, which are all named after pooches, include chunky cable knit boots, soft suede moccasins and faux-fur booties. Ladies can enjoy one of seven chic styles in the Her Dogz range whilst gentleman can indulge in winter comfort from slippers in the His Dogz collection.
