Leeds’ HpE Process Ltd eyes £5m turnover by targeting pharmaceutical sector
Leeds-based HpE Process Ltd aims to hit the £5m turnover mark by extending its product range to tackle another market.
The independent pumps and valves supplier is already the hygienic process solutions supplier to food and drink manufacturers for brands such as Nestle and Colmans.
However, Andy Allman, the company’s managing director, is eyeing up a turnover of £5million per annum by entering the pharmaceutical market.
After striking a new deal with Germany’s KPA, the company is set to develop the highly compliant pharma and household care sector.
Mr Allman said: “We have been recognized industry experts for highly viscous products such as pralines and fudge as well as delicate food like soft fruit but the highly regulatory pharmaceutical sector has always eluded us because they use more liquids.
“We can now offer a comprehensive range of centrifugal pumps that are European Hygienic Engineering Design Group (EHDG) compliant and capable of handling the fine liquids that are common in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. They are also suitable for the dairy and brewing sectors where we currently work but want to make our own.
He added: “HpE Process Ltd will be able to offer a product range that features an integral speed control, is inventor driven and is more energy efficient therefore delivering cost savings in sectors where regulation and economics are a constant battle for production managers. The range is competitively priced with good delivery times and they are reliable.”
