Marketlaw relocates to North West following takeover
Marketlaw, a marketing consultancy that provides services to high street solicitors, has moved to the North West following a recent takeover.
The business has been acquired by chartered accountant Brian Corcoran, a former director of Assure Law, who plans to expand the company’s offering to include more general business consultancy services.
Brain, who has been active in the legal sector for more than 20 years, said: “Marketlaw has a much respected reputation among legal professionals and a wide historic client base which provides an ideal platform for additional services.
“I’m excited about the potential to build the Marketlaw brand still further while continuing with its core business.”
As part of the takeover deal, the firm relocated its HQ to Wilmslow, Cheshire. Marketlaw’s existing directors, Leslie Kent and founder David Monk, will step down to become consultants as Brain assumes control.
Commenting on the takeover, Leslie said: “From the moment we started talking it was clear that Brian had an ambitious vision for the company, and I am confident that the company and its clients are in good hands.”
