3Squared celebrates shortlisting in UK Rail Industry Awards

Sheffield-based software development and technology consultancy 3Squared is celebrating being one of the finalists in the UK Rail Industry Awards best Mobile Technology category.

3Squared’s innovative RailSmart Suite was selected from strong competition across the UK and the company will now go forward to the final event, which takes place on 11th February at Battersea Evolution in London.

James Fox, Commercial Director at 3Squared, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted, especially when the competition was so strong. This is a result of the hard work and efforts of our team in developing this pioneering software in collaboration with a couple of key rail operators. We are really excited about the finals in February. “

The RailSmart suite was launched two years ago to offer train operating companies a quicker and more efficient method of monitoring employee competency and compliance. As a web-based system, RailSmart can be accessed off-site and is extremely straightforward to use. It aims to reduce the risks to train operators of non-compliance, provides better allocation of resources and helps to improve staff retention.
