North Yorkshire’s 5* Gallaber Park sold off a £3m asking price
Colliers International’s specialist holiday parks team has secured the sale of Gallaber Park, a 63 acre 5-star rated holiday park set near Skipton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The park has been acquired by holiday park operator, Thornley Leisure Parks for an undisclosed sum, taking their total numbers of parks to eight.
Located in Long Preston, Gallaber Park comprises 79 privately owned static caravan pitches, 13 privately owned lodge pitches and 69 touring caravan pitches.
The park has the added benefit of a licence to develop up to 177 static caravans and 67 touring caravans within the 63-acre site and was marketed at a Guide Price of £3m.
Richard Moss, head of Colliers International’s Parks team, who advised Gallaber Park’s board of directors on the sale, said: “Parks of this quality rarely come to the market in sought after areas such as this, so it was not surprising that we received a great deal of interest for this site. We conducted a thorough but discreet marketing process which resulted in numerous bids above the guide price which is symptomatic of the current high demand for good quality holiday parks.”
David Thornley, managing director of Thornley Leisure Parks, added: “We are very pleased with our purchase of Gallaber Park and look forward to many years of ownership and completing the very good developments started by the previous owners.”
