Clough & Willis Announces Private Client Team Promotions
Clough & Willis – the Bury based law firm – has promoted two of its solicitors to associate level with immediate effect.
Sally Cook joined Clough & Willis in February 2014. Since her arrival Sally has headed up the Private Client team which focuses on a variety of core work including: wealth and succession planning, inheritance tax advice, trust creation and administration, wills, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration. Sally’s own specialist areas are wills, inheritance tax and estate planning, powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters as well as estate administration (probate & intestacy) and trusts.
The second promotion is Karen Yates. Karen started her career at Clough & Willis over 10 years ago. She works alongside Sally in the Private Client department and also deals with property transactions and residential conveyancing matters for clients in the North West and across the whole of the UK. Following her promotion she will now lead all work in her areas of law at the firm’s newly opened office in Bolton.
Shefali Talukdar – managing partner of Clough & Willis – said: “Both Sally and Karen are fantastic lawyers and their promotions are much deserved. They are both dedicated to their careers and strive to offer the best possible service to their clients. Therefore, we felt it was right to formally recognise their effort and we look forward to seeing them progress their careers over the coming years.“
