Yorkshire's leading divorce coach publishes much anticipated book

Yorkshire’s leading divorce coach has published a unique book following years of research.

Danielle Barbereau, from Sheffield, helps people to overcome issues following a divorce or separation and has been working in the sector as a coach since 2009 having undertaken numerous qualifications.

For the last five years, Danielle has been working on her first book which she has written thanks to the response to her coaching sessions and her own personal experiences throughout her life.

‘After the Split- the Definitive Guide to Recovery when Relationships Break Down’, is based on Danielle’s professional and personal life and, unlike many similar books, is aimed at the 40 plus age group and men as well as women.

The book itself includes tried and tested techniques and individual stories and stems from Danielle’s extensive experience as a relationship coach, having now worked with hundreds of clients with different issues.

Danielle herself has first hand experience of the issues she covers in her new book having been through a difficult divorce which left her with two young children to bring up on her own. She has chosen to publish her book now as divorce rates amongst the over forties continue to grow whilst falling in other age groups.

The aim of After the Split is to provide practical help and advice based on real experiences and focuses on aspects such as surviving the immediate aftermath of a split, dealing mixed emotions and moving forward.

Danielle said: “I’ve spent a long time researching for my book and I genuinely believe that there is nothing else quite like it available as it is aimed at men as well as women and is borne out of my personal experiences, the good and the bad. I look at issues including the aftermath of divorce or separation and how to cope with it, gaining more control and getting back on track to make sure you have a happy, healthy future. I also talk about how I, my friends and my clients have dealt with various issues- advising on what works and what doesn’t.

“It is aimed at those over 40 as it can be a forgotten age group- many are the last of the ‘baby boomers’ or have been affected not just by divorce or separation but also by professional burn-out and aren’t sure which way to turn. I really hope that, like with the work I do, the book provides real advice in a warm, wise and positive way. After all, it’s tried and tested as both I and my clients have been using it for many years.”

After the Split- the Definitive Guide to Recovery when Relationships Break Down is available in print and will be available to download from January. The book is also currently being translated into a French edition.
