‘Biggest deal’ sees software firm on the move in Leeds

A software firm is relocating in Leeds in what is believed to be the biggest out-of-town office deal of the year so far, national commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has announced.

Cascade HR, which was previously spread across two locations in the North-West of Leeds, will come together on two floors totalling 16,122 sq ft at One City West Business Park at Junction 1 of the M612 Motorway.

Adam Varley, director of Office Agency at LSH Leeds, who acted on behalf of the private landlord of One City West, said: “One City West is prime, modern office space, ideally located for transport links and just seven minutes drive from the city centre. It is therefore no surprise that Cascade has decided to acquire space here. It also reflects the increasing demand we are starting to see across the Leeds market at the moment.

“We’re delighted to see the space occupied by a leading technology company like Cascade HR and hope to see them continue to grow in their new offices.”

Cascade HR is currently undertaking fit out work, with a view to moving into the new offices in January 2016.

Based in Leeds since 1992, the firm creates browser-based software solutions to help businesses manage HR and payroll functions. The in-house team undertakes all design, testing and building of the software.

Jonathan Shires at CBRE, who represented Cascade HR, added: “We’re delighted to have agreed to move our clients to One City West. An important motivation for their relocation was to bring all of their staff together in one building and with long-standing association with Leeds, it is a significant bonus that we have been able to achieve that while staying in the city.”

The space Cascade HR will occupy at One City West is split over the whole ground floor and part of the first floor. Following its refurbishment, the building provides modern, air conditioned offices with 96 car parking spaces on site.

Cascade was represented by CBRE and LSH represented the Landlord. Following the letting there is now only 4,000 sq ft of space remaining at One City West.
