Q-Park snaps up Liverpool’s Queen Square car park
Promenade Estates, the Liverpool-based developer, has sold Queen Square car park to international parking firm Q-Park.
Following the transaction, Q-Park plans to transform the 24-hour, 601-car facility with a £750k revamp.
Promenade Estates’ director, Daniel Hynd, said: “We are delighted to welcome Q-Park to the Queen Square estate.
“Q-Park is a brand renowned for its unparalleled quality and outstanding customer service, so this partnership is fantastic news for Queen Square as we continue to expand and add new names to our offerings.”
He continued: “The Queen Square car park is a thriving operation due to its location and proximity to so many of Liverpool’s attractions.
“It’s great to have such a successful, robust operation on board to continue its success and secure long-term opportunities for the car park.”
Earlier this month, Queen Square saw its restaurant offer expand after welcoming the city’s first Five Guys burger joint.
Q-Park’s managing director, Adam Bidder, commented: “Since arriving in the UK in 2001, Liverpool has always been a very important city to Q-Park.
“This is why we are so thrilled to be the new owners of Queen Square carpark and join this very popular development.”
He added: “It complements our portfolio perfectly within the city which means wherever you are in the city you will not be far away from quality parking with Q-Park.”
Promenade Estates plans to use the funds raised from the sale to grow its portfolio through new investment opportunities across the North West.
