Accountants' perfect ten to benefit hospice charity
A fast-expanding Yorkshire accountants is celebrating its tenth year in business this month with a generous donation scheme for the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope.
Wintersgill Associates, based in Ilkley and established in 2005 by Paul Wintersgill, is donating £10 for every tax return it completes to the hospice which cares for people with life-limiting conditions. The firm’s clients are also being encouraged to make a donation from any tax savings made.
With dozens of returns already completed, the team are aiming to break the £1500 mark by the end of January.
The last 10 years has seen Wintersgill Associates grow from a small start-up business to a mature SME with a team of eight accountants which provide services way beyond those of a traditional chartered accountancy.
Since starting out in 2005, the Wintersgill Associates client list has grown dramatically and they now work with clients with turnovers of up to £25m, offering five distinct levels of service from book-keeping and year-end accounts through to strategic business consultancy.
Paul Wintersgill, founder and managing director of Wintersgill Associates, said: “To be able to mark our tenth anniversary by helping Manorlands is an amazing way to celebrate as it is a cause which is so close to the hearts of many of our team members.
“Our tenth year has been a fantastic one for the company; we’ve taken on four new team members as part of our expansion strategy and turnover has been our best to date. But we’re also putting some ambitious plans in place for 2016 with new premises for our head office and even plans to set up more branches across Yorkshire.
“Since day one my vision has always been to be offer financial services beyond traditional accountancy. We’ve been building on this for the last ten years and we’re now putting in place the infrastructure to allow us to push ahead even further with this strategy. We advise businesses every day on managing growth so it is fantastic to be able to celebrate our own and demonstrate that we know what we’re talking about.
