French artisan patisserie selects Fulham Road for UK flagship café
Orée, a premium French artisan patisserie and boulangerie, is to launch its first UK flagship café in March 2016.
The 2,949 sq ft space on London’s Fulham Road is spread over two floors and marks the beginning of an expansion programme in the city. The new café on the 275 - 277 Fulham Road, owned by Sloane Stanley, will include a 38-cover internal seating area.
Substantial works are now under way to connect the two shops and fit-out designed by specialist interior designer and architect company, agency, Shed.
Laurent d’Orey, founder of Orée Boulangeries added: “Of the many options available to us, Chelsea was the most exciting and we are thrilled to be moving into a prestigious and established location on Fulham Road.
“We selected Fulham Road for our first UK store as it attracts a vibrant community and strong retail footfall.
“It was the obvious choice for our brand to further develops our premium French artisan bakery concept. We can’t wait to see the site open, as well as to secure more sites for the serious expansion plans that Orée has for London.”
Hannah Grievson, Commercial Property Manager at Sloane Stanley, added: “Orée is a new and exciting premium bakery concept that we are delighted to welcome to the Fulham Road, home to a number of speciality coffee shops. It is great Orée will be alongside other brands in the surrounding area, adding to the appeal for our international visitors and resident shoppers.”
This news follows a very successful 12 months for the Sloane Stanley Estate, with a series of leading brands recently launching on the King’s Road and Fulham Road, including debut stores for couture milliner, Jane Taylor, Danish womenswear brand Noa Noa and leading lifestyle brand, Woven. Fake Landscapes, the artificial plant company is the latest brand to join the retail line up.
