Barnsley steelwork firm completes £4.88m double acquisition
Billington Holdings Plc, the structural steel and construction safety solution specialist, has completed the acquisition of property, from Sabler Enterprises Limited located at Shafton, and equipment and other assets from Sherling Steel (UK) Limited for a combined consideration of £4.88m.
This deal, which was first announced back on November 20th, gives the Barnsley-based company access to new machinery and increased capacity.
Billington’s acquisition of the 25 acre site from Sabler Enterprises Limited, includes two industrial buildings with a combined useable area of 181,000 sq ft.
In addition, the equipment and other related assets acquired from Sherling Steel (UK) Ltd, consist of steel processing machinery and associated lifting equipment.
Billington will now be able to utilise the site and equipment at Shafton to enhance its structural steel divisions located at Barnsley and Bristol.
