Mather & Co teams up with Chelsea FC to create new museum entrance
Mather & Co., the Wilmslow-based interior design firm, has transformed the entrance to the Chelsea FC Museum.
The firm was tasked with helping the museum drive up visitor traffic and increase revenues by creating a new photo opportunity area in the 484 sq ft entrance.
Chris Mather, the managing director at Mather & Co., said: “We have a long-standing relationship with Chelsea FC dating back to 2006, and we jumped at the chance to work with them again, creating a fully interactive visitor attraction for the club.
“This most recent project came with its own challenges, but we were delighted to have the opportunity to design a space that would engage guests and fulfill the Museum’s specific requirements.”
The project, which took two months to complete, created a new main route into the museum and added a green-screen area where visitors can get a snapshot of themselves holding the Premier League trophy.
Since first working alongside Chelsea FC almost 10 years ago, Mather & Co. has delivered projects for a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal.
