Local housebuilder adopts donkeys in time for Christmas!
Leading local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, has adopted the three donkeys at The Donkey Sanctuary in Eccup, close to its Bodington Manor development in Adel, just in time for Christmas.
David Wilson Homes has adopted Billy O, Ripple and William D at the sanctuary, which rehabilitates and re-homes donkeys in need and primarily provides support for disabled children through therapy with these animals.
Stacey Berkley, Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West commented:
“At David Wilson Homes we’re committed to working with existing communities in the areas where we build and The Donkey Sanctuary close to Bodington Manor is a special place for many people in the area, so we’re thrilled to have been able to adopt the three donkeys there, in time for Christmas.”
Caroline Armstrong, Centre co-ordinator at the Donkey Sanctuary, in Leeds, commented:
“We’re very grateful to David Wilson Homes at Bodington Manor for adopting our donkeys at Eccup – they are wonderful creatures and are often mistreated or neglected, and we are very proud of the work we do with our additional needs and disabled children in the area through animal therapy, which enhances the lives of the donkeys and children alike.”
In addition to adopting Billy O Ripple and William D, staff at David Wilson Homes’ Yorkshire West head office are also donating festive gifts, which are being collected and donated to Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas cause, providing disadvantaged local children with gifts to open on Christmas morning, as well as having a ‘giving tree’, holding a bake sale and a Christmas Jumper day as part of its fundraising this year.
Bodington Manor is a beautiful development of four and five bedroom detached family homes in a secluded woodland setting with fantastic links to the motorways and Leeds Bradford airport. Prices start at £499,995.
