Wakefield’s DrainsAid get connected with Derby Homes
Wakefield-based DrainsAid, the specialist drainage and sewer rehabilitation division of Peter Duffy Ltd, has been awarded a place on Derby Homes Ltd specialist supplier framework for sewer connections and associated repairs on Derby City Council’s 13,500 properties.
Derby Homes Ltd, which was created by Derby City Council to manage, maintain and improve its council houses and estates, selected the drainage specialist by formal tender earlier this month.
Jason Monaghan, sales manager at DrainsAid, said: “The key to winning this particular tender was our superb track-record for safely delivering sewer connections and repairs to leading regional water companies and main contractors throughout the country. It is this, combined with our investment in an innovative field-based GPS work management system, that our team is so successful in securing these prestigious contracts.
“We are now looking forward to working with the Derby Homes team over the next four years and we will continue to develop our relationships with similar organisations in this sector.”
DrainsAid will start planned work with Derby Homes Ltd in the New Year, focusing on the delivery of new and existing sewer connections throughout the area. The company has selected two specialist teams to carry out the work, both of whom are NRASWA qualified as well as being trained in ‘doorstep protocols’ which means they are able to communicate effectively with all sectors of the community.
Jason added: “Health and Safety is of paramount of importance to DrainsAid. Due to the fact that we work with a variety of different industries in sometimes challenging environments, we ensure that all of our engineers undergo comprehensive health and safety training continuously throughout their time here.
“Our company is frequently recognised through industry awards for our innovative approach to health and safety at work, and it’s something that we are constantly looking to improve. I have no doubt that our engineers and support staff will provide a superb service to Derby Homes Ltd.”
