Best Western Cresta Court Starts Second Phase Refurbishment
General manager Paul Hindley, of the BEST WESTERN Cresta Court hotel in Altrincham, south Manchester, gave a helping hand to his team of decorators last week, as the Hotel announces a second phase of a £1.5 million refurbishment.
One of south Manchester’s leading independent hotels and venue for events, the Hotel enjoys a prestigious business position on the edge of Altrincham town centre and under 10 minutes from Manchester Airport. In order to capitalise on its growing business travel market, the Hotel’s 14 executive bedrooms are being transformed with a design using colourways of mink and teal, to generate a classic, welcoming atmosphere and complement the Hotel’s main guest rooms, which were refurbished last year. The new executive guestrooms will be available for travellers in early 2016.
The transformation is the second part of an £1.5 million investment programme in the Hotel that started 18 months ago with changes to the majority of its guestrooms, Townfields bar and reception area.
Suzanne Dickson, from Forest Contract, the company undertaking the design of the bedrooms, said: ‘We wanted to continue the distinctive design that was started in the bar area throughout the Hotel and the new colourways in the bedrooms are classic tones that will ensure guests have a peaceful night’s sleep. The rooms are accessorised with metallic and faux leather furniture, giving a classic yet contemporary feel.’
As a prime hotel for local events, the Hotel is also upgrading its bridal suite and adding a specially designed photography area in the garden, so bridal parties have the opportunity for both stunning interior and exterior shots. It is also planning to complete the last elements of its meeting room refit, with the addition of new carpeting.
The design led overhaul has also reached the exterior of the Hotel with a new planting scheme and an upgrade to the exterior of the hotel’s reception. Corridor redecoration is being completed and new signage added. Plans are also in the early stages for a refit of the Detorris restaurant.
Paul Hindley, general manager, of the BEST WESTERN Cresta Court said: “The initial refurbishment helped increase footfall and the second stage is set to build on that further. The new interior design of the bedrooms brings with it a warm, relaxing environment that we know our guests will love. The updated corridors and signage add to the new look. ’
He added: ‘The investment in the hotel reflects its position as the leading independent hotel in the town for both business and leisure guests. Our location on the edge of Manchester and the beautiful Cheshire countryside gives us a unique proposition, and with the added refurbishment, we are aiming to maximise the Hotel’s potential.“
