Coastal Communities funding to boost South Ribble businesses
SMEs operating in the western parishes of South Ribble, Lancashire, are set to benefit from a new Coastal Communities Fund cash boost.
The funding, to be made available to enterprises in the west of the borough, in areas such as Howick and Priory, Much Hoole, Little Hoole, Longton, New Longton, and Hutton West, has launched to support existing companies that want to expand and budding entrepreneurs looking to establish their own business.
The South Ribble Borough Council cabinet member for regeneration and leisure, Cllr Phil Smith, said: “To have this funding from Coastal Communities Fund injected into the borough will be extremely helpful for local businesses and local people.
“The support and advice offered is second to none and the council have worked extremely hard to secure this funding.”
He added: “This scheme sits alongside the wider support we offer for businesses across South Ribble and it will bring a much needed boost to help local businesses flourish and expand.”
The Coastal Communities scheme forms part of a wider business support package available from the South Ribble Economic Development team, which aims to attract new investors and grow business in the borough.
Business management firm Orvia will deliver the service.
