NGC Networks win new contract with Costcutter Supermarkets Group
NCG Networks, the Wakefield-based telecoms specialist, has been awarded a new contract with Costcutter Supermarkets Group.
The telecoms firm has negotiated a bespoke mobile telephone package with Vodafone for the convenience store business.
The account involves 183 mobile handsets which are used by Costcutter Supermarkets Group’s area and regional managers. A further 10 handsets are with O2.
NGC Networks won the contract following a tender process carried out by Synergy Procurement Solutions, which were appointed by Costcutter Supermarkets Group to assist the business in several areas.
The process resulted in a contract that fulfilled the criteria of Costcutter Supermarkets Group as well as delivering a significant saving on the cost of the contract.
Nikki Guest, NGC Networks director, said: “Costcutter Supermarkets Group was looking at being tied in to a 36 month contract with another supplier. We were able to work closely with Vodafone to put together a package on a more preferable 24-month contract which satisfied Costcutter Supermarkets Group’s mobile telephone needs.”
Simon Kamen, of Synergy Procurement Solutions, added: “NGC was professional and thorough throughout the tender process and delivered on all of the commitments made to Synergy and Costcutter Supermarkets Group. They won this contract on merit and since implementation have continued their good work.”
Costcutter Supermarkets Group, based at Dunnington, York, supports over 2,600 independent retailers across the UK.
