Building futures! Barratt graduate climbs the career ladder
Barratt Homes’ North East division has appointed Charlotte Dexter as its newest sales adviser at the Scholars’ Wynd development in Lemington, to further strengthen sales opportunities across the site, following her success in the industry renowned Barratt graduate scheme.
Charlotte, 25, originally from Lancaster, studied Architecture at the University of Lincoln before enrolling in the one-year sales graduate programme with Barratt Developments, which saw her rotate in various areas. which allowed her to work in the sales environment from day one.
Speaking on her recent appointment, Charlotte commented:
“A large part of my degree was being able to present my work and sell schemes to my assessors, as well as overcoming any objection there may be. I always found I enjoyed doing this, so I felt that I should go down the route of sales once I had graduated. I chose to work with Barratt Homes because of its superior reputation as a housebuilder and the fantastic training they offer – I’m looking forward to building on my career as a Sales Adviser now!”
Fenton Hewitt, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North East, commented:
“Charlotte has proven to be an asset to our team in the North East, so I’m very pleased to see her as a new Sales Adviser at Scholars’ Wynd. Our graduate and training schemes offer opportunities throughout the business, and this is an example of the many careers Barratt offers.”
Barratt Developments is committed to developing employees and offering support, direction and encouragement for them to develop and grow, which includes a formal training programme for its sales team. The North East division’s sales department is recognised for the development of its employees, and Charlotte joins a number of sales advisers that have been promoted in recent years.
