Just Housing Group Implements Award Winning Software System

One of the UK’s leading housing and support services businesses – Just Housing Group (JHG) – has implemented an award winning, revolutionary software contract management system for a registered social landlord.

Working in partnership with Derbyshire based Futures Housing Group, JHG implemented a comprehensive and efficient procurement system which will ensure that the social housing provider makes substantial efficiency savings, avoiding hidden costs and potential problems in its contract management programme.

And as such, Futures Housing Group has been hailed in its sector as a beacon for contract management delivery securing Contract Management Initiative of the Year at the Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards and the ACA Annual Award for Innovation in Partnering.

Speaking on the software implementation, Ian Hippach, Partner at Just Housing Group and head of the groups systems and technology division said: “We are delighted to have implemented a system that has transformed the way in which Futures Housing Group works with its contractors and as such has led the housing association to now be seen as an innovative and progressive leader in the supply chain.

“We have a proven track record in deploying contract management systems that effectively integrate all contract information and where information can be extrapolated at the finest level.”

Just Housing Group’s software management system integrates full contracts register, supplier performance management and contract compliance monitoring. The comprehensive and reliable system effectively manages multiple contract delivery across a housing portfolio of 8,000 properties, whilst at the same time creating significant efficiency opportunities.

Following the appointment of John Thornhill as Procurement and Contracts Manager at Futures Housing Group, John recognised the need to implement such a robust system that would suit the business needs.

John said: “We needed an uncomplicated system that would appeal to service users yet provide a robust platform of recording and monitoring contracts that leaves service users able to get on with their day jobs.

“In the background the JHG system keeps an eye on progress providing timely contractor surveys and assessments. It drives our procurement programme allowing my team to provide budget holders ample time to help us prepare for re-tender.”

Established in 2004, Just Housing Group provides services and support in the supply, management and maintenance of social housing. The organisation successfully leads in transforming and creating Direct Labour Organisations (DLO) and with offices in London the company employs 25 staff.

Futures Housing Group provides more than 9,000 affordable homes throughout Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
