Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival reveals headline sponsor
Garden centre Barton Grange has been unveiled as the headline sponsor of the upcoming Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival.
The Preston-based gardening retail company has joined a number of other North West firms sponsoring the event, including building company Eric Wright Group and BBC Radio Lancashire.
The flower festival is the centrepiece of the midsummer celebrations, organised by the the Blackburn Business Improvement District (BID), to be held in Blackburn’s £30m Cathedral Quarter Development, phase one of which was completed in November.
Guy Topping, Barton Grange’s MD, said: “We are very proud to be a Lancashire business and we’re always pleased to support any initiatives which help to develop our county.
“As a business which has gardening at its heart, we’re particularly delighted to sponsor the Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival.”
He added: “We look forward to helping to maximise the positive impact this event will have on the town of Blackburn and on the wider Lancashire region.”
The dean of Blackburn Cathedral, Christopher Armstrong, said he is “absolutely thrilled” to announce Barton Grange as the festival’s headline sponsor.
He continued: “The entire event is only possible due to sponsorship and the significant support of award-winning Barton Grange makes them the perfect partners for this event of national importance.”
