London firm Keystone Law to open Isle of Man office

London-based law firm Keystone Law has announced that it is to open a new office in the Isle of Man.

The move will make it the first UK firm to establish a presence on the island in over twenty years. Keystone, which was founded in 2002, will launch operations in the Isle of Man’s capital, Douglas, this week.

Keystone counts the likes of HMV and Caxton FX among its clients and has ambitions to expand internationally in the coming years having opened offices in Melbourne and Sydney. The Douglas office will serve as a trial run of any potential expansion further afield.

James Knight, Keystone’s founder, said: “For the past 14 years we have worked tirelessly to create a cutting edge law firm that is orientated around the needs of modern businesses.

“Until now, companies on the Isle of Man have been excluded from the Keystone story, so I am incredibly excited at the prospect of bringing these benefits to a place that is very close to my heart.”

Managing Director of Keystone Law Isle of Man, Geoff Kermeen, was similarly enthusiastic about the news when he added: “We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to establish a truly client-centred Isle of Man law firm.

“Although Keystone’s 170+ partner-level lawyer offering has been winning awards for its unique approach in the UK, our mission is to provide that same seamless service - combined with the experience of senior and, more importantly, local lawyers who know the Isle of Man and its opportunities, environment and community like the back of their hand.”
