Sheffield mumtrepreneur launches new pay-as-you-go PA company
A Sheffield entrepreneur has launched a new PA company with an aim of assisting other local businesses.
Trading as Pink Spaghetti, Amy Milchard will offer her time and experience by the hour to small business owners, consultants, freelancers and home owners within the region.
Commenting on her new venture, the mum-of-one said: “Basically, it’s a pay as you go service. There’s a burgeoning number of micro-businesses across the Sheffield area, many of which aren’t in a position to employ a full time or even part time assistant.”
“That is where I come in. I can take over the tasks that no business owner enjoys or struggles to find time for, from managing their social media to decluttering, bookkeeping and creating newsletters. Pink Spaghetti exists to take away the leg-work and give owners more time to spend on what they see as core parts of their business and most importantly, where their own skill-set is more suited.
“I believe I am unique in that I offer small businesses as many hours of support as they need, without making them commit to a regular contract”.
Over the last 11 years, Amy has had a career in business and admin support roles at Sheffield City Council and Sheffield Hallam University as well as working for a local entrepreneur as an office assistant to all the business leads (accountant, office manager, sports promoter and property manager).
Along with this experience, Amy has also worked in catering and most notably with a local Tapas restaurant, gaining an insight into the workings of a small business.
amy added: “I’m quick to understand people and their needs and can adapt easily to new situations. I have tonnes of experience in administration but can also bring a creative angle to problem solving and business promotion.
“While my son was very young, I juggled summer temporary contracts, and self-employed contract work with an outside catering events company, so I also understand first hand the demands of working for yourself while looking after a family. The key to my success so far has been, enthusiasm, determination and delivering to a high standard, all essential skills which I look forward to taking into my new venture”.
Mum to an 18 year old son, Amy anticipates that many of her Pink Spaghetti clients will also be working parents, who are juggling businesses and domestic tasks throughout the day. Therefore she can help with tasks at home too, from arranging cleaners to helping to plan parties.
Pink Spaghetti PA Services offers a business and lifestyle management service – a time management solution for both business, and domestic challenges. Set up just six years ago by friends Caroline Gowing and Vicky Matthews, the company now operates in 13 territories across the UK.
