New recruits for North East HR experts
A Teesside company has created two new jobs for local graduates and now has the biggest team of business psychologists in the North East.
Stockton-Based Prismatic Thinking specialises in improving business performance through increasing employee morale. The company was established in June 2015 by local entrepreneur Tony Slimmings who recognised a niche in the market to provide specific, ongoing assistance to organisations and HR departments to improve organisational culture, staff motivation, team working and customer satisfaction.
To assist with its 2016 growth plans, Prismatic Thinking has recruited two business psychologists.
Haleema Dean, from Ingleby Barwick, graduated with a BA in Psychology from Teesside University and then went on to study for a Masters in Occupational Psychology at Northumbria University. Following her education, Haleema went on to work in the HR department at Balfour Beatty in Newcastle before joining Prismatic Thinking at the start of this year.
Sunderland AFC fan, Daniel Keenan also joins the company as a business psychologist with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Sunderland and an MSc from Northumbria University in Occupation Psychology. Before joining Prismatic, Daniel, from Spennymoor, worked in recruitment across the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
2015 saw Prismatic Thinking grow faster than anticipated and the company secured a major contract with the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) to provide them with its ‘Vision’ software which has been stringently developed by its in-house business psychologists to provide practical results and ongoing support in the workplace.
Prismatic Thinking’s tools can help organisations increase business performance by 30% and improve employee morale by 40% through its scientific approach to enhancing motivation. The easy-to-use Vision software assists organisations with recognising the need for the right infrastructure, effective performance management and introducing successful employee reward programmes.
MD Tony Slimmings, having worked closely with many HR departments throughout his career, recognised a gap in the market for providing organisations with easy-to-use software to help them measure and improve the morale of their employees.
Tony said: “2016 is going to see our business go into all sorts of new directions and we are now working on some big contracts. I wanted to ensure we had the very best team of business psychologists with the most relevant and recent experience so I am delighted that Haleema and Daniel have joined us with their superb credentials.”
Haleema said: “I am really excited to be part of the team that has created such state-of-the-art and effective HR software tools. Vision is an already established platform developed with the very best technology to offer organisations the best in the marketplace. I am looking forward to being part of Prismatic’s growth in the coming months.”
Daniel said: “2016 is looking extremely exciting and it is a real boost for my career to get the opportunity to work with such a forward-thinking business. I’m already working with some fascinating clients on a range of projects and I am keen to start seeing results and helping companies to progress using our technology”
Prismatic Thinking is based at Teesdale in Stockton and now has a team of seven. The company works in a variety of sectors including local authorities, schools and with manufacturing and engineering organisations as well as SMEs.
