Galliford Try to create 155 new homes in Ellesmere Port

Galliford Try Partnerships, the housing and regeneration company behind the Linden Homes newbuild brand, has submitted plans for a residential development in Ellesmere Port.

The firm is proposing to deliver a housing scheme on the site of the old Greyhound Stadium off Thornton Road, for which it was named the development partner by Cheshire West and Chester Council in 2015.

If the plan is approved, Galliford Try will create 155 mixed tenure homes, in addition to car parking areas and landscaping.

Of the 155 units, 110 will be sold under the Linden Homes North West banner and 45 will be affordable housing built for the council.

Galliford Try’s development director, Darren Leary, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by Cheshire West and Chester Council for the redevelopment of such an important scheme.

“It is testament to our proven expertise in delivering both high quality and affordable housing projects.”

He added: “We have worked in partnership with the council to develop plans to support the continued regeneration of the Ellesmere Port.”

Subject to planning, Galliford Try intends to start construction this spring.
