Acclaimed Local Business Woman to Headline Networking Event

Renowned business woman Emma Elston MBE will be headlining the upcoming Creative Connecting in Cheshire event on Thursday 11 February at Pesto Cabbage Hall.

Emma who is the co-founder of Northwich-based UK Container Maintenance (UKCM), will be inspiring other business women in the Cheshire area as she informs them about her path to success and providing helpful advice to those who are starting out.

Having set up UKCM from her spare room in 1998, Emma and her husband risked everything to establish the £5m+ container repair and refurbishment company.

Emma’s exemplary business acumen and passion have been recognised on numerous occasions. In 2010 she was named NatWest everywoman Demeter Award Winner and honoured with the title ‘Modern Muse’ by everywoman. She has also been honoured with the prestigious title of Aspire Businesswoman of the Year 2012 and was most recently awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List 2015.

Emma’s commitment and determination has seen her become a UK-leading voice in the business community as well as the waste industry, trailblazing a path for woman in what had long been a male-dominated industry.

Sue France from Creative Connecting in Cheshire, said: “I regularly hold networking events throughout Cheshire and to have Emma Elston speaking at the next event in February is fantastic.

“Having only met Emma recently, I was instantly bowled over by her personality and I know the audience will just love her!”

Emma Elston MBE added: “I am thrilled to be asked by Sue to speak at Creative Connecting in Cheshire on 11 February. It is always a pleasure to speak at events and draw upon my experiences within business so far.

“When I can, I spend my time mentoring people from all walks of life, either helping them make the step into the world of business or providing them with advice that makes a difference to their outlook on things – I hope that my talk can inspire those who need that extra bit of encouragement.”
