Liverpool FC ticket row latest: Klopp calls for a solution
Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has weighed in over the row regarding the club’s controversial new ticket pricing.
After several thousand fans abandoned the Reds’ game against Sunderland on Saturday (February 6), walking out during the 77th minute to protest against the £77 top-priced tickets for seats in the new main stand, Klopp said the row is “not what we want”.
According to the BBC, Klopp commented: “What I know is everyone in the club has a big interest in finding a solution for this.
“We don’t want that people leave the stadium before the game is finished.”
Following the mass walk-out, LFC have now cancelled a question and answer session in which their chief exec, Ian Ayre, was set to respond to supporters’ queries over the new 2016-17 pricing structure.
A statement on the club’s Twitter page read: “LFC thanks fans for submitting questions for tonight’s Q&A however due to ongoing ticketing discussions, this will no longer take place.”
