New role signals North West expansion for PK education
Manchester supply teaching agency PK education has appointed Secondary and SEN School specialist Ruth Davis.
Experienced education consultant Ruth (21) joins the agency in a new role managing the specialist staffing needs of Secondary and SEN schools throughout the North West region, including Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Wigan, Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, Bolton and Northwich.
Ruth’s role is an area of expansion for the company as it develops specialist SEN desks across its five offices as demand from the SEN sector for supply staff increases.
Commenting on her appointment Ruth said: “I really enjoy the education recruitment industry and am very much looking forward to the challenge of developing PK’s Secondary and SEN specialism in Manchester and working closely with both schools and candidates.
“Supply teachers, like all professionals, want job satisfaction so they can do the best job possible and help the students’ progress. Working closely with schools and candidates to match them to ideal roles across the secondary and SEN sector is a very fulfilling role.”
Ruth’s appointment is one of eight made across the company’s five regional offices as part of its ambitious expansion plans in 2016. The company, opened its Manchester office, based on Piccadilly, last year. Since expanding into the North West, the company has gone from strength-to-strength, increasing turnover by nearly 1500% and putting the business on track to turnover £10 million in 2016 and make further new appointments.
Established in Sheffield in 2005, the company has now grown to five offices based in Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, and Manchester placing hundreds of teachers, cover supervisors and teaching assistants in schools every day.
Outside work Ruth enjoys amateur dramatics and writing short plays about her life. Recently, Ruth performed her own piece at ‘Lift Off’ festival in Leeds.
