Crimple Hall Shopping Centre looks to Sanderson Weatherall to fill retail extension
Crimple Hall Shopping Centre, which is about to undergo a 26,500 sq ft extension, has appointed Leeds-based chartered surveyor and property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall has been appointed as its letting agent.
The centre, located on Leeds Road between Harrogate and Pannal, is working with Sanderson Weatherall to source retailers to occupy the space, which has been designed by NJ Architects of Ilkley.
Graham Watson, CEO of Crimple Hall said: “We’re very excited to be expanding the centre in such a significant way. Increasing the retail space by 26,500 sq ft will support the growing success of the centre, and see additional high-quality brands move in.
“Working with Sanderson Wetherall, acting as our letting agent, I’m confident the centre will become one of the most attractive retail destinations in the region. Located fronting the main A61 to the south of Harrogate, one of the busiest roads in the area, this is a rare opportunity for high quality retailers to locate in one of the most affluent towns in the country.”
Situated between Crimple Hall’s current location and Harrogate interiors, the new development was granted planning permission in 2015 and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2017.
The centre currently offers a wide range of gardening products, furniture, antiques, gifts and a restaurant.
Peter Heron, agency partner at Sanderson Weatherall, commented: “We’re delighted to be acting as the letting agents for Crimple Hall. It is already a well-known and popular destination with a great and diverse range of products.
“There are a number of outstanding requirements for the town from very high quality retailers and I’m confident that we will be able to attract a number of these to the scheme”.
Sanderson Weatherall employs around 200 people, has a turnover of £14m and operates nationwide from offices in Newcastle, Teesside, Darlington, York, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Bristol and Exeter.
