Liverpool aesthetic academy launches professional training arm
A new training provider for beauty and medical professionals has launched in South Liverpool.
Facethetics, which is located in Aigburth and Cheshire, is providing comprehensive training led by an experienced team of educators, ideal for those looking to advance their skillset.
Headed by Managing Director of Woodlands Beauty Clinic Alison Stananought, Facethetics will offer a selection of one and two day courses covering a variety of aesthetic, anti-ageing and skin treatments. The academy is certified and insured to train both medical practitioners and beauty therapists and is one of the few providers in the UK that is able to educate beauty therapists in the ‘Vampire Facelift’.
Alison said: “Having been in the industry for more than 13 years, I have witnessed a surge in the number of aesthetic practitioners, particularly across the North West. To safeguard the crucial reputation of an ever-growing industry, Facethetics was founded on the basis of ensuring professionalism and best practice surrounding aesthetic treatments.
“Both myself and Medical Director and Head Educator Yvonne Senior have spent a lot of time refining each course to create unique and high-quality training programs. Yvonne is a highly respected name in aesthetics and is extremely knowledgeable as she has run her own successful clinics, as well as training other practitioners for many years.
“We have hand-picked a team of educators who combine 40 years’ experience and have devised material which doesn’t just explore various treatments, but also addresses how to build patient rapport, manage their expectations, and learn how to deal with complications.“
Each course covers all aspects of aesthetic treatments, starting with an overview of the given procedure itself, highlighting safety issues, complications and side effects. Following a series of theory based learning, delegates will then be given the chance to spend the afternoon practising the treatment on models, with guidance from an experienced educator.
Alison added: “Our teaching style is relaxed but focused, allowing those on the course to feel comfortable to ask any questions and enter discussions, with a hands-on approach. Each course also gives our trainees the chance to practise on their own model with the guidance of our educators, an option that is not always available from other similar courses. Typically, each course seats between four to five delegates, but if we have more than three delegates for intense courses, we often bring in an additional educator.
“Upon completion, delegates will then be qualified to perform safe and certified aesthetic and anti-ageing treatments upon their clients. What’s more, our courses are recognised by reputable insurers, meaning that the delegates will also be able to easily get insurance to offer the treatment.“
Facethetics currently offers 20 individual courses including Botox, Advanced Peels, Lip Enhancement, PDO Thread Lifting and the “Vampire” Facial with prices ranging from £150 to £995.
