Olympic swimmer makes a splash at Cintra Conference
HR and Payroll specialists from around the country gathered in Newcastle to hear the latest on major legislative changes affecting the industry this year, but were also treated to an inspirational end to their day with a talk from one of the most successful female athletes in British history: Karen Pickering. Karen represented Britain at a senior level for 20 years during which time she won more major championship medals for Britain than any other female swimmer and won the most Commonwealth medals for England of any female athlete in any sport.
The Cintra HR & Payroll Services Annual Conference, hosted this year at the iconic BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, brought together industry experts to give Cintra clients the most up to the minute information and guidance possible.
In addition to a thorough presentation covering HR and payroll updates and a humorous (yes humorous!) update from HMRC, delegates were also enlightened in the field of Emotional Intelligence by Dave Cater from Eliesha Training. Dave’s interactive session explored what Emotional Intelligence is and how to both learn and use it to best advantage, both personally and professionally.
Cintra CEO, Carsten Staehr outlined its plans for the future and showcased the latest enhancements to Cintra’s award winning flagship product, Cintra iQ.
Delegates included many of Cintra’s clients from around the UK and Europe, including major names, such as key London insurance brokers Hiscox Syndicates, together with many others from the Education, Housing and private sectors.
After a day of in depth presentations which gave delegates much food for thought, the conference ended on a high, with an inspiring and thought-provoking presentation from Karen Pickering, whose story is a shining example of success through hard work, drive and dedication: An uplifting and emotional story which received a standing ovation.
Chris Tidy of Hiscox Syndicates commented: “Cintra’s conference is a diary highlight for me. The quality of the speakers is first rate: excellent coverage of important issues with much food for thought and a brilliant opportunity to meet other Cintra customers and staff. It just gets better every year!”
