6,000 sq ft Pets at Home store to launch soon in Ormskirk
A new Pets at Home store has created 15 jobs ahead of its launch in Ormskirk later this month.
The Cheshire-headquartered pet retailer’s new 6,000 sq ft site, which will include a Groom Room providing pet grooming services, will open its doors on February 26.
Area manager Jason Hunter said the opening comes after the firm noted a “strong demand” for its services in the Ormskirk area.
He said: “Pets at Home is committed to recruiting from the local area and I’m pleased we’ve found a team of talented individuals in Ormskirk.
“They’re all extremely passionate about pets and can’t wait to get started.”
The store’s manager is Sarah Yould, who previously worked at the Penny Lane branch and has been with the company for more than three years.
Commenting on the Ormskirk launch, she said: “It’s been a busy few months and now my team and I can’t wait to open the doors and welcome our new customers and their pets to the store.”
Established in 1991, Pets at Home has grown to encompass a UK-wide network of more than 415 stores, providing employment for over 6,000 people.
Last month, the firm reported strong third-quarter sales and revenue growth, attributed in part to its active store-opening strategy.
