Property Developers Sponsor Local Football Club
THE FIRST homes are now available to reserve at a stunning new £8million village development in Upper Wortley and to coincide with the sales launch, the developers behind the scheme have become the main kit sponsors of local football club Farnley Sports FC.
Greenhill Fold is being developed by Leeds based developers Rushbond Group and Advent Developments and will consist of 49 striking family houses. Later this month a full sales centre will also be opening at the development, which will see the existing grade II listed Upper Wortley School building transformed into 13, two and three bedroom loft style houses that maximise all of the building’s original character, with 36 new contemporary homes built within the school’s grounds.
Estate agent Your Move is marketing Greenhill Fold and is already taking reservations for homes ahead of the development’s sales centre opening on Friday 26th February.
Irene Scurrah from Your Move says: “Greenhill Fold appeals to a huge range of buyers and especially families who want a design-led home that stands out from the crowd. The development offers a more stylish alternative to the majority of new builds, whilst still being ideally suited to modern family life. As a result, there’s already lots of interest in the homes so the opening of the sales centre later this month promises to be a busy event. Reservations are being taken on a first come, first served basis so we’d urge potential buyers to act fast to avoid disappointment.”
In addition, Greenhill Fold’s branding and website will now be prominently displayed at all Farnley Sports Reserves matches, after the developers became the team’s kit sponsor. Tim Reeve from Advent Developments says: “Greenhill Fold sits at the heart of a long established and thriving community that is supported by great local amenities and infrastructure. The development is specifically designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing fabric of Upper Wortley and for this reason, we are keen to support the local community by sponsoring Farnley Sports Reserves. The club is very well supported at both its home and away fixtures and hopefully the new kit can help to bring out the best in the team.”
Speaking on behalf of Farnley Sports Reserves, Brad Strutt says: “It’s great for the team to have the support of Greenhill Fold. The new kit is very smart and should definitely have a positive impact on the team’s performance.”
Advent is highly-regarded in the local area, having successfully converted Lower Wortley Primary School into apartments and mews houses in 2008. In 2014 both Advent and Rushbond completed a 38 home scheme in York that included the conversion of a former Victorian school with new homes built in the grounds creating a unique new part of the community in York, which won the coveted Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors best residential development award.
The sales centre at Greenhill Fold will be open from 11am to 5pm, Thursday to Monday. Prices start at £149,950 and a £500 reservation fee is required to secure a home.
