Teesside experts cut deal with leading glass business
Stockton-based Prismatic Thinking has secured an important contract with a fellow Teesside business as it continues to grow.
Crystal Galleries, in Middlesbrough, employs around 60 people and are the leading UK suppliers of wholesale glass and crystal blanks for glass engravers as well as of engraved glass and crystal gifts and awards to promotional gift distributors.
Prismatic Thinking specialises in improving business performance through increasing employee morale and was established in June 2015 by local entrepreneur Tony Slimmings.
Prismatic started working with Crystal Galleries to monitor levels of motivation amongst the workforce using its specially-developed online software, Vision, which provided Crystal Galleries with the results they needed in relation to the motivation and engagement levels of their employees.
A range of staff surveys was carried out to measure motivation, satisfaction, commitment, involvement, empowerment and engagement. Prismatic’s Vision software then provided the management team with thorough, valid and reliable data concerning the motivation levels of Crystal Galleries’ customer service team.
Within a few weeks of working with Prismatic Thinking, Crystal Galleries found overall motivation improving and the two Teesside businesses are now working together long term to continually allow Crystal Galleries to offer the best possible customer service.
Bob Simm, operations director at Crystal Galleries said: “Prismatic Thinking offers a different way of thinking compared to the traditional management methods. Prismatic’s tools have challenged our thought process as managers to find out what really makes us tick as a company and also our staff. Thanks to the work we have been doing, our team definitely feels more valued and everyone is contributing much more to our development which is fantastic as we are an ever growing company.”
Prismatic Thinking’s tools can help organisations increase business performance by 30% and improve employee morale by 40% through its scientific approach to enhancing motivation.
MD Tony Slimmings, having worked closely with many HR departments throughout his career, recognised a gap in the market for providing organisations with easy-to-use software to help them measure and improve the morale of their employees.
Tony said: “The improvements in morale and then customer service levels that Crystal Galleries have already seen prove that these tools really do work. The company is a very forward-thinking and growing business and it is great to work with likeminded people with a passion for putting the North East on the business map.”
2015 saw Prismatic Thinking grow faster than anticipated with the company securing a major contract with the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) to provide them with its Vision software which has been stringently developed by its in-house business psychologists to provide practical results and ongoing support in the workplace.
Prismatic Thinking is based at Teesdale in Stockton and now has a team of seven. The company works in a variety of sectors including local authorities, schools and with manufacturing and engineering organisations as well as SMEs.
