Turtle Bay comes back for seconds to create 50 new Liverpool jobs
Caribbean restaurant chain Turtle Bay has announced it will open a second site in Liverpool next month, bringing 50 new jobs to the city.
The new 3,030 sq ft eatery will open on Hanover Street in Liverpool ONE, adding to the chain’s initial venture into the city last November.
Ajith Jayawickrema of Turtle Bay, said: “The response to the opening of our first venue in Liverpool has been incredible, the city has really embraced our ‘one love’ approach so we’re really excited to announce the opening of a second venue.
“When we heard about the possibility of a site in Liverpool ONE, it was an opportunity we could not turn down.”
With the chain’s first venue creating 60 new jobs, Turtle Bay will generate 110 jobs in total across both sites.
The restaurant joins Busaba Eathai, Roxy Ballroom, Red’s True BBQ and Wahaca on Hanover Street as part of Liverpool ONE’s expansion.
Chris Bliss, Estate Director at Liverpool ONE, added: “We’re looking forward to adding Turtle Bay’s vibrancy to Hanover Street. The new addition will join our ever evolving selection of places to dine in Liverpool ONE as we continue to introduce fresh and exciting venues for our visitors to enjoy.”
Turtle Bay, Hanover Street, will officially open its doors to the public on Good Friday, 25th March.
