Home interiors retailer takes £0.5m delivery of sell-out furniture range

A new range of furniture designed in Yorkshire by home interiors retailer, Baytree Interiors, has proved so popular that the company has taken delivery of thousands of pieces of new stock with a sales value of more than £580,000 – the second delivery the company has had in as many months.

Designed by Baytree Interiors, the Studley range combines a fashionable, neutral mushroom grey colour with natural, solid wood tops. The Bedale-based company, which has 10 shops across Yorkshire and the North East, is one of the UK’s leading distributors of painted furniture, but the new Studley range is the first collection designed by and manufactured specifically for Baytree Interiors.

Featuring more than 50 pieces, it is the company’s most diverse collection to date, designed to furnish anything from a single room to an entire house, with pieces including bedside tables, blanket boxes, wardrobes, dining tables and large dressers.

The Studley furniture collection was launched in November 2015 and the initial order of 730 pieces sold out online before it even reached any of the company’s retail outlets. The furniture is available in its shops and at www.baytree-interiors.co.uk from 1 February.

Nik Hill, managing director of Baytree Interiors, said: “We’ve been selling painted furniture for more than 15 years and it has always been a significant part of our business, but nothing else has come close to the success of our home-grown Studley range.

“The collection has been a hit right from the outset and has now established itself as a firm favourite amongst our customers. Given how quickly our first delivery sold out, we knew we needed to invest in a much bigger order this time and we’re confident it’s going to fly out of the shops just as quickly as our last delivery. I’m sure it will become a mainstay of our product range.”

Ben Hawkins of Baytree Interiors and designer of the Studley range, added: “We carefully researched the market before launching the range, looking at the colours and finishes that were most popular with customers and identifying where improvements to products could be made.

“It’s rewarding to see a Yorkshire design being chosen for homes throughout the country and fitting in so well that customers are coming back for more.”

Supplying a stylish range of home accessories, interiors, lighting and distinctive furniture at competitive prices, Baytree Interiors sells a diverse range through its retail outlets in Harrogate, Knaresborough, Northallerton, Halifax, York, Ilkley, Middlesbrough, Metro Centre Newcastle and Whitby and also online at www.baytree-interiors.co.uk
