Batley Nursery celebrates 10th anniversary and expansion
Batley’s Happy Jays nursery has marked its 10th anniversary and year-on-year success with a veritable feast of fun and entertainment.
Based on Carlinghow Hill, the nursery, rated good by Ofsted, now employs 27 staff and is planning further growth.
One of the six-strong Happy Jays group of private nurseries across Yorkshire, the nursery hosted a children’s party, with entertainment including a children’s performer, party games such as pass the parcel and musical bumps, and a special party tea.
Nursery manager, Margaret Pollard, commented: “We are delighted to be celebrating such a momentous milestone. Having been part of our nursery from the beginning of Happy Jays, it has been a lovely journey watching it grow over the last 10 years. Being able to celebrate this fantastic achievement with the staff and children together is the icing on the cake”.
Tony Gernon, MD of Happy Jays, commented: “It is fantastic to see the nursery going from strength to strength and a big ‘thank you’ to all the staff for their sustained hard work and commitment over the past decade in providing exceptional nursery and childcare.”
Happy Jays provides Ofsted registered nursery and childcare in Scarborough, Harrogate, Boroughbridge, York and Batley.
