Chartered Accountants attract three headline sponsors for Dinner
The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) Manchester has secured three headline sponsors for its prestigious 2016 annual dinner and awards event.
Williams Jaguar Manchester, Investec Private Banking and Manchester Metropolitan University will join 300+ chartered accountancy professionals and guests at the event being held at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester city centre on the 3rd March.
The ICAEW annual dinner and awards has become one of the biggest networking and socials in the calendar for chartered accountants working in Greater Manchester and sponsors will get brand exposure in the run up to the event online and all associated promotion.
This year’s guest speaker is film director, Guardian columnist and BBC Radio 4 regular Guy Browning. He combines a firm grasp of business issues with an ‘indestructible’ sense of humour to entertain after speaker audiences all over the UK.
He is expected to focus on the observations of absurdities and surreal happenings in office life, taken from his Office Politics book and column in The Guardian.
The evening will also be an opportunity to recognise those individuals and departments who have been a credit to the profession in the last 12 months across Greater Manchester.
Awards will be given for best Finance Leader (Practice), best Finance Leader (Business), best Finance Team (in-house) and Rising Star.
Winners will be those who, in the opinion of the judges, have made the most significant contribution to economic prosperity in Manchester, looking at success as a business, influence on economic development and support for charitable or other voluntary activities.
Nick Cook, Managing Director of Williams Group, said the event would generate some excellent exposure for the Jaguar brand and the Williams retail centre.
“It is an ideal opportunity for us to showcase our outstanding vehicle portfolio and raise awareness of our extensive range of local purchase, fleet and contract offers among a highly discerning audience – we are looking forward to it.”
Pooja Naidoo, Private Banker at Investec Private Banking, said: “Our sponsorship of the awards dinner shows our commitment to building a strong relationship with ICAEW members and ensuring their success is celebrated.”
Professor Chris Pyke, Associate Dean & Head of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Manchester Metropolitan University, said: “We are pleased to be sponsoring the ICAEW annual dinner 2016. This is a very prestigious event and brings together many of the key influencers working in business and finance in Manchester.”
Colin Gillespie, ICAEW Manchester President, said: “We are delighted that Jaguar Williams, Investec and Manchester Metropolitan University will be joining us for what is a very well-attended evening of celebration and networking for our members, one of the highlights of the year.”
