New US-style private hospital to create 90 jobs in Ashford
A new One Healthcare private hospital in Ashford is to create 90 new jobs in the Kent town.
Set to open in March, the new £30m hospital is funded by UK healthcare property investor Octopus Healthcare and is being managed by the One Healthcare team.
The hospital, which was designed by Manning Elliott and built by Conlon Construction, will house 10 consulting rooms, four operating theatres, four treatment rooms, an endoscopy suite, 20 en-suite rooms, 10 ambulatory care beds and an MRI and imaging suite.
It is the first One Healthcare hospital to built as part of a planned UK-wide line-up of private hospitals developed by the company. Founded in 2014, the firm is modelling its plans on the surgery and diagnostic centres found in the US and Australasia.
Commenting on the opening of the new hospital, Adrian Stevensen, Chief Executive at One Healthcare, said: “We are very excited about our investment in Ashford. Our objective is to provide the very best level of care for local people, delivered by leading consultants, in state-of-the-art, well equipped and purpose-built hospital facilities.”
