Famous Cheltenham Gold Cup Heading to Newcastle

The region’s premier business platform, Exclusive, is bringing Cheltenham Gold Cup Racing event live to Newcastle Racecourse at a traditional Irish shindig on Friday March 18th.

The Gold Cup, the climax and main highlight of the British Jump season, will be beamed live to Newcastle Racecourse with tipsters and totes creating the racing buzz. This is a great way for the region’s businesses to enjoy the racing action in the prestigious Gosforth Park Suite at the racecourse.

Tickets are selling fast, the Barclays Premier Banking sponsored event features a St. Patrick’s Day theme with entertainment from the Tyneside Irish Centre and has been billed as a must-attend.

The event includes Live racing action on big screens, Tote and Tipster in the room, an Irish menu and a drop or two of the black stuff, Piper, Fiddler, Ceilidh band and Irish dancers, a Silent auction from FR events as well as Plenty of Blarney!

Exclusive’s CEO, Linda Hitman, has said the Cheltenham Gold Cup Live Day promises to be a key event in the North East calendar and is looking forward to a “day at the races” with some of the North East’s most prominent companies in attendance.

She said: “Cheltenham Gold Cup is a key date in the corporate calendar but due to work commitments not every company can take the time out to be there on the day so we decided to recreate the ambience right here in Newcastle.

The day will be fun filled with a program of Irish entertainment alongside the racing, wining and dining and the party doesn’t need to end when the racing does as Newcastle Racecourse are happy for guests to stay on into the evening. We feel this event provides a great opportunity for client entertaining or as a team away day and have had a great response from key local businesses. We are also using this as another chance to raise funds for our nominated charity, CHUF, they are delighted that we are supporting them again with such a high profile event.

Tickets for Cheltenham Gold Cup Live start at £55 up to £500 for a table of 10, and will take place at Newcastle Racecourse, High Gosforth Park on Friday, March 18th from midday – 6pm.
